Mask Prices...How much is too much!?

Curious as to what you guys and ghouls think about the current pricing of masks....Discuss.

I think the prices are shit, to be honest. It's gone from a passion for the hobby to lies and greed. I think anyone who would pay $2,000 for a REPLICA of a mask that originally cost chump change should have their heads examined.

My personal opinion? well, I think anything over $500 is way too much. Maybe between $100-$200 is acceptable, but some people just milk as much money out of the brainwashed masses as they can. I mean, it doesn't last forever, so why rip people off?

You might be right, but the truth be told a ton of masks are not this expensive. If you are referring to the Myers industry it is very costly sometimes and ridiculous. I for one see nothing wrong, to each his own and if you got money to burn then go for it, but not all of these are worth what people paid. I base the mask value on rarity and the artist producing it and finished product. Some you have to wait and see the finished product before judging and others you know are going to be great. Casey Love, Jordu Schell, Jeremy Bohr, Ken Hertlein all top shelf and drama free and always good.
At the end of the day its what you feel its worth to you!

my highest priced mask is $225 and it's an H6 replica called RAINING RED...i put alot of hours into making those, so there for it warrants it's price! my lowest priced mask is the Shape of Evil and it's $149 on my site. I stay within reason to cover my work time. agreed, anything over $300 is stupid!
I have a mask i will be doing for around the $300 mark just because i will be using synthetic human hair and the hairline will be punched in vs fur or camel hair. takes time to do that too
